HAPPY NEW YEAR
I hope everybody had a lovely Christmas Break and a warm welcome to both current and new families settling in this spring term.
Thank you to all the Class 2 parents who made sure their child attended both Christmas play performances and the rehearsal.-
This meant we were able to film the play. A massive thank you to Kevin, Freddy’s and Lily’s Dad for filming and working through the night to edit the play.
Please note the link will disappear on Friday 5 January. Please make sure you have
used it by then. If you still want to place an order, see Gareth.
Family sing along.
Thank you to all our families who came along and supported this event! A big thank you to Lesley and Lois on the committee for planning and making the evening such a success.
The Big Christmas Hamper draw was fantastic this year due to all your generous donations. Daisy won the ex-ordinary hamper, Poppy and Idrees were runners up.
The various events over Christmas raised an enormous £682 which has made a huge contribution towards the cost of the Kindergarten’s new boiler
Topics this term are displayed outside the classrooms. If you as a parent would like to contribute to your child’s topic please let us know.
Thank you to Luke’s mum for entertaining class 2 with some fantastic French songs and spectacular bells!!
Healthy Eating Week commencing 8th January.
The aim of the week is to discuss ‘healthy food options’ with the children. A useful exercise for everyone, considering recent Government statistics about our younger population on obesity and tooth decay.
Parents in both classes are asked to bring to the Kindergarten different fruit/vegetables and other healthy snack alternatives. We will use these for special taster sessions. In the past these have been very successful in helping children discover and enjoy healthy new foods.
Starting school in September 2018
You must complete an application for your child to be allocated a school place by 31 January 2018.
Spring term invoices have been issued this week
We rely on the prompt payment of all fees. We are a non-profit making charity without huge reserves and need a steady cash flow to pay our bills and wages. The Committee will always try to help when someone is in real difficulty, but please help us to maintain the high standards we offer.
