March Newsletter 2019

March already and everyone’s looking forward to spring.

Parents should register this month for summer 30 hour place
Parents with children who will be aged three by the summer term should register for a 30 hours funded place by end of February. HMRC has advised that new parents need to register by 28 February or a.s.a.p. to guarantee an eligibility code. Without this code, you won’t be able to receive funding for the additional entitlement.

Whilst it may still be possible to register for the summer term as late as 31 March, it is advisable to register as early as possible and ahead of the deadline.

Absence from Kindergarten

It is a legal requirement that we monitor all absence from Kindergarten.  Please make contact if your child is going to be absent from kindergarten for any reason.

If we haven’t heard from you by the end of the day we may make contact to establish the reason for absence.

Due to a shortfall in Government funding, increase in the minimum wage and ongoing pension regulations, the committee have decided to increase the fees by £1.50 a session with effect form 2 April 2019.  Even with the increase we offer a competitive service compared to other nurseries in the area.  The increase will help us to continue our high levels of service to your children.

Please note that fees due for the summer term can only be paid in one payment or as a total before 24th May. (By Half term).  We are no longer able to offer an instalment scheme for the last half term of the year.  If this causes any problem please see Ana.

School leavers

Please let Ana know which school your child will be starting in September as soon as possible.  This information is needed to ensure a smooth transition to the new school.

World book day

7th March

Week commencing 4 March will be our World Book Week.  All children are invited to come to kindergarten dressed up as their favourite book character with their favourite story to share with all their friends.

Spring term fees

All outstanding nursery fees for this term are now due. Please make sure all outstanding amounts are cleared as soon as possible.

Summer term

The week commencing 1st April is the first week of summer term. The Kindergarten closes on Friday 5 April at 3.15am for Easter break.  The Kindergarten reopens on Tuesday 23 April at 8 am for the remaining weeks of summer term.

Please note that we cannot accept cancellations in the summer term.  These places are very difficult to fill so late in the year.
